The Event
From November 30, 2024, to January 6, 2025, Trame di Luce returns to the Botanical Garden, featuring an immersive light art exhibition enriched with numerous new highlights. This unmissable experience brings a renewed brilliance to Christmas in Rome, reinterpreting the most magical tradition of the year through contemporary art. This internationally inspired edition invites visitors to marvel at a blend of art, music and nature within the historic garden at the foot of the Janiculum Hill, transformed into an enchanting open-air museum at sunset.
The event is designed to engage visitors of all ages, presenting captivating installations and interactive light artworks, all unique and environmentally friendly. Created by Italian and international artists and Italian universities these masterpieces add an extraordinary value to the experience.
One of this year’s key innovations is the narrative accessible via QR codes placed along the path, offering free insights and suggestions on how to understand, explore and interact with each piece.
The Path
The Trame di Luce exhibition unfolds across 22 stops featuring installations and light artworks, some of which are created exclusively for Rome. Beginning in the outdoor spaces of Palazzo Corsini, the route immerses visitors in a dreamlike atmosphere suspended between fantasy and reality.
Music, specially composed for the event, accompanies each installation with Christmas melodies inspired by classic Hollywood soundtracks.
Finally, the Village of Lights offers a food & beverage area with ten festive culinary options provided by food trucks, catering to all ages and preferences.
