The 10th edition of the 10th edition of the outdoor movie theater has begun and will accompany the Roman summer until July 14.
The festival
Until July 14, the outdoor movie theater “Cinema in Piazza” returns to Rome with its 10th edition. There will be four locations for the event. The three squares of Piazza San Cosimato in Trastevere, Parco della Cervelletta and the Parco Monte Ciocci, as well as the Cinema Troisi.
85 screenings scheduled, accompanied by 22 meetings and 12 retrospectives. Like every year, the aim is to introduce unpublished and never distributed works to the general public, as well as rediscovering the great classics. From Wednesday to Sunday, every evening with free admission (except special events at the Cinema Troisi) includes screenings of movies in the original language with subtitles and Italian movies with English subtitles.
Among the most anticipated international guests is the American actor Edward Norton. On June 19 he will present his first movie as a director Motherless Brooklyn at 6pm at the Cinema Troisi, while at 9.15pm he will be in Piazza San Cosimato for the screening of the Fight Club.
There will also be space for Italian cinema: on July 4 the actors Alessandro Borghi and Luca Marinelli will meet the public to present the movie The Eight Mountains, winner of the 2023 Italia film award David di Donatello for the Best Movie.
