The exhibition
Combining art and science, reasoning and emotions, the large exhibition project hosted at Palazzo delle Esposizioni Roma takes the public on a journey, both physical and imaginary, to discover the beauty and natural, urban and genetic wealth of Italy. This immersive and educational experience invites us to look at the world with new eyes: from the veins of a leaf to the flight of an insect, alternating original finds, videos, iconographic installations and reconstructions, all to make us aware of the urgency of preserving natural balances.
Numerous experts offered their contribution, making their expertise available on the subject. In particular, they underlined the inestimable value of biodiversity, both in absolute terms and in relation to human psychophysical well-being, highlighting the main factors that threaten its conservation and illustrating the necessary actions. They also explain the concept of One Health, a holistic vision that recognizes the profound connections between human, animal health and ecosystem health. The state of health of life on Earth is in fact assessed by observing how all ecosystems are interconnected by a network of relationships, governed by very delicate mechanisms and balances. Each form of life plays a unique role, contributing to the stability of natural environments. Therefore, the conservation of biodiversity is essential to guarantee environmental sustainability and the future of our planet, especially in a context in which human action and climate change represent a real threat. The exhibition benefits from an international scientific committee, composed of personalities of excellence, including Nobel Prize winner Giorgio Parisi.
