Each floor offers a different and new journey, making 47 Boutique Hotel an unforgettable destination, rich in culture and creativity.
First floor – italian design
The first floor tells the story of Italian design, between beauty and functionality, known all over the world. It is a celebration of great architects and artists, whose works are exhibited and preserved in the collections of the most important museums in the world. Each room is unique and holds a jewel of Italian design: from the original tiles and wallpapers of Piero Fornasetti to the Pipistrello lamp by Gae Aulenti, from the Radio Cubo by Marco Zanuso to La Valentine typewriter by Ettore Sottsass made for Olivetti or the famous radio RR126 by Castiglioni. Each object carries with it a story to tell: “One day a small plane left its wings in the sky to become a myth on earth”, this is the phrase chosen for the Vespa launch in 1981. Finally, the historical Moka Bialetti commercials, which have made famous “the man with a mustache” and his coffee.
Second floor – fashion
The second floor is about fashion, designers and models that inspired them. Characters who have amazed the whole world through the use of colors, fabrics and the desire to revolutionize. The rooms on this floor feature iconic original photographs: Naomi Campbell wearing Versace with Lenny Kravitz and Christy Turlington taken by Ron Galella in 1992, during the charity party “Rock N’ Rule” organized by Gianni Versace at Park Avenue Armory in New York. And again, Karl Lagerfeld and his models (Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss) captured by Mario Testino and Anthony Savignano. Finally, posters, photos, books on the irreverent story of an eclectic artist like Vivienne Westwood and her nonconformist fashion.
Third floor – 60ies icons
The cultural revolution of style, the golden years of sport, the myth of cinema.
Each room is dedicated to an icon and tells its history through original objects: from Andy Warhol’s posters to Sean Connery’s autograph photos in 007, from Muhammad Ali’s autographed boxing glove to Pelè’s jersey worn during the 1970 World Cup; and then Jimi Hendrix, Clint Eastwood, Audrey Hepburn. Even here, endless stories to tell: the original poster signed by Dustin Hoffman for the release of “The Graduate” in 1967 and the model of the flaming red Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto that seduced America.
Fourth floor – photography
The fourth floor is for those who love photography. Here, visual art rules with Bernhard Hartmann’s “Stuttgart Library” or Po Chen’s “Moon Rise”. With a backdrop of luxury and comfort, the rooms become an inspiring space where guests can be captivated by the power of images. It’s impossible not to appreciate Elliott Erwitt’s shot “California Kiss”, an image that freezes a moment of happiness in time, an “impossible” subject that aims to capture the perfect fraction of a second. And again, the hypnotic stairs of “Woman in Chand Baori Stepwell” by Steve McCurry and the Afghan girl from the “Children” series.
Fifth floor – Your terrace on history
On the fifth floor history speaks. It embodies the unique experience of the authentic Roman holidays. The rooms with a private terrace offer breathtaking views of the Marcellus Theater, the Forum Boarium and the Mouth of Truth, transporting guests back in time through the history of Rome. From this privileged perspective, you can admire the majestic temples that shine under the Roman sun or capture the magical atmosphere during illuminated evenings. Allow yourself the luxury of waking up to a suggestive view and ending the day by sipping an aperitif at sunset on the private terrace, while the panorama enchants you with its timeless beauty.
